What establishments first come to mind when you think of a local community? Of course, you have the immediate necessities: water plant, grocery store, town hall, police and fire departments, etc. However, one of the establishments we might forget to recognize is the local toy store. They’re always there to meet any birthday party’s last-minute needs and bring the community’s children together to celebrate wonder and friendship. Ruckus and Glee, the local toy shop in Wauwatosa, Wyoming, is no exception to that standard. However, they raise the bar regarding service in its community. Ruckus and Glee stops at nothing to ensure your child walks out of their establishment with memories that will last a lifetime every time.

About Ruckus and Glee

Initially established in 2015, Ruckus and Glee is one of the newer kids on the block and is there to stay for the long haul. It’s owned by husband and wife tag-team duo Mathew Poulson and Sarah Fowles. This loving couple set out to entertain children all over Wauwatosa because of their daughter. Her natural-born ingenuity and curiosity inspired Mathew and Sarah to build a place where any kid can discover their imagination. They can also wonder about the world they’ll take into adulthood.

Ruckus and Glee is located on 68th Street and at the crossroads of some of the town’s favorite restaurants, coffeehouses, and antique shops for your convenience. They’ve even won awards for their dedication to creativity and fun. Some of their most notable are their Astra Foundation certifications for Play Experts and Master Retailers. With such a perigee to their name in such a short time, you know they’re doing something right.

Products

Ruckus and Glee have something to offer for children of all ages. With a massive inventory and an awe-inspiring amount of variety, your child is guaranteed to find something that will inspire them. Their selection includes smaller toys designed to be safe and stimulating for infants and babies. They also have science and engineering-based toys that kids can construct independently, challenging their kinesthetic motor control and spatial awareness skills. In another corner, you’ll find toys and games made for the outdoors to keep your kids active without them even realizing it. If you’re looking for something quieter, you’ll find a vast selection of board games, puzzles, and arts and crafts. These are the perfect outlet for your child to express themselves creatively.

Events

With Ruckus and Glee, their dedication to their community is evident in the wide variety of events they hold throughout the calendar year. From seasonal events with guest appearances of Santa Claus to private shopping appointments that provide the safest experience imaginable, Ruckus and Glee are there because they care. One of their most popular and regular events is Storytime with Sue. This is a session of fantasy and fun led by their designated employee. The children have a blast as they sing, dance, and marvel at a new story every time.

Ruckus and Glee also offer free crafting classes where kids of all ages are walked through making their own handmade picture frame, wind chime, or basket, among other things, to take home and keep for themselves. They also host family movie screenings and speech/language development classes, all on the regular itinerary of events. They’ll even host Small Business Saturdays to promote local shopping and support their neighbors and friends. That makes Ruckus and Glee so much more than just a toy store. It’s a true sense of dedication to a larger cause that’s small enough to have an amazing effect on the people around them.
